What going to happen to US airway hub in Las vegas?
Since US airway is cutting back now in Las vegas. You think there be moving into the Southwest hub and Southwest be taking the US airway hub. Also you think Southwest be adding it flight to vegas anytime soon.

Southwest has cut some flights to/from Las Vegas too. Some flights from Chicago, Phoenix, Oakland and Orange County were eliminated. With the downturn in the economy, Vegas is going to get hit hard, Southwest will probably have to cut more flights at some point. I don't see any changes in hubs coming anytime soon.

The use of the hubs is changed all the time and US air share it with another carrier. Only time and economy will provide SWest needs more space, though doubtful

It always seemed kind of stupid for USAirways to use Las Vegas as a hub, since they have a hub in Phoenix. The plan is to cut a maximum of 30% of their flights so that you can't connect in Vegas anymore. Southwest increased it's flights by a small percentage. =================== Tourism in places like New York city is booming, and they are getting record rates for their hotels. There is a number of new hotels on the books. Obviously NYC toursim is benefitting from the strong euro. ---------------- Vegas is hoping to try and get more charter flights to Europe to increase their share of the business.
