I am trying to get a free flight to Vegas from Edmonton, leaving on June 25 and returning on June 28.

Unless you or someone you know works for the airline, I do not see you getting a free flight. Even if you did manage to get one, you are still responsible for paying any airport taxes. June is also a busy travel month so if you have a buddy pass, I would make sure the flight you want to be on isn't too full.

I learned in life there is no such thing as free. You would have to pay for it, either by paying or if your ultra lucky you will go but get the crappiest service in life.
